Indoor Bowls

Indoor Bowling Season commences on the 1 March 2011 at 7.00pm.

Everyone welcome and they are looking forward to a great year.

Club night each Tuesday from March 1^st to October 4th (please arrive by 7:15pm to be in the draw). Subs: $15 per person per annum by 31 March. Mat fees: all games $2 per person. Singles, Pairs, & Visitors’ nights held in RSA Clubrooms.

Line Dancing

Line dancing is held in the Club on Tuesday Mornings from 10.30am to 12 midday 8.30pm. All Welcome. $4 per person, suitable for dancers who have basic knowledge of line dance steps. Information: please phone Patricia White 09 438 6176.

Widows Section

Meets 4th Monday in Flanders Restaurant at 1.00pm. More details soon

Monday, 27^th February will be our first meeting of 2012 and hope to have just as a successful year as we did last year. We welcomed a few new Members last year and it was lovely to know that the Widows Section is out there in the community. On our itinerary are speakers, entertainment and of course our Bus Trips as well as our Mid-Winter and Christmas Luncheons. Any enquiries to Yvonne 09-436-1732

Rifle Club

We meet every Tuesday evening 7pm to 9pm at the Whareora Hall approx 5k from the end of Harris Road

on Whareora Rd. Shooting is .177 air rifles over an indoor range of 18m. (20yds). Shorter range operates when we have a piston shoot. We occasionally visit the full bore range at Oramahoe, where we shoot .303s,.22s plus other calibres and clay targets. The shooting is more social than competition and a lot of fun is had with BBQ lunch etc.

We have around 24 members and growing.

New members are most welcome as are visitors local and from overseas.

Royal NZ Naval Assoc

This Association meets at the RSA on the 3^rd Thursday of the month at 1pm. Membership is open to all ex-Naval & Merchant Navy personnel. For further information phone John Arnott 09 436 2013. Objects of RNZN Assoc: to uphold comradeship which began in the Navy, to foster good fellowship, to contribute to charities devoted to the welfare of former & serving naval personnel.
